Who this covers
DoBud is a Discord bot run by one person for a private group of friends. This page explains what the bot keeps and what it does with Google and YouTube data.
Google and YouTube data
DoBud asks for access to one YouTube account, owned by the bot's operator, so it can add videos to a single playlist. That is the only thing it uses the access for.
- It sends the YouTube Data API a request to add a video to that playlist when a song link is shared in the server's music channel.
- It does not read, collect, or store anyone's YouTube viewing history, subscriptions, or personal YouTube data.
- It stores the sign-in token Google issues in one local file on the operator's own computer. The token is never sent anywhere except to Google to keep the sign-in working.
- It does not sell, share, or give any Google user data to anyone, and does not use it for advertising.
DoBud's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Discord data the bot keeps
Inside the Discord server, the bot stores game state such as trivia scores, linked game accounts members choose to add, and inhouse ratings. This lives in a local file on the operator's computer. It is not sold or shared. Match lookups go to OpenDota, and AI chat features send the text of a request to Venice, the model provider. Members can remove their saved data at any time with the bot's /unlink and /forgetme commands.
Revoking access
The operator can remove DoBud's YouTube access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can delete the stored token by deleting the local file.
